I think Graham Connah is a genius. If you've never heard of him, give it a listen!

The horns get completely out-of-sync with the rhythm section. This is not a mistake! It's almost like Steve Reich's early phasing experiments.

Then Eisenberg enter with the vocals. The Zappa-like writing is amazing, then things transition into something Sun Ra-like ... you see, I am grasping for adjectives; this is completely unique music.

Weather Report used to say they were a band that "always solos, but never solos." Connah seems to have inculcated this concept quite deeply.
