Sing a Song of Sixpence

The king was in his counting house,
Counting out his money;
The queen was in the parlour,
Eating bread and honey.

Can you take me back where I came from?
Can you take me back??

At 2:34, this little clip of Paul singing comes from an improvisation done on September 16, 1968 during Take 19 if I Will.

It seems fitting, because The Beatles was such a jumble of individual contributions -- John probably never noticed.

**

Many years later, John called this lovely tune "rubbish."
