In the rich key of D-Flat Major, Ted varies the meter between 4 and 3 (i.e. 12/8 and 9/8). As he introduces the the main section, check out the way he quickly changes the mood by moving to the subdominant (G-Flat) -- enriching the harmony, and requiring tons of double-flats:
