THE SWINGLE SINGERS
Goodnight
(2:13)

from Ticket To Ride.

You'd probably guess Paul wrote it, but you'd be wrong. It's a John song; perhaps the most tender thing he ever wrote before Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy) and Woman from Double Fantasy (1980) ...

... in fact, according to Paul, John did not sing it himself because he did not want to "tarnish his image." The other Beatles were the only ones to ever hear him sing it, as he taught it to Ringo.

And of course, Martin's arrangement is superb.
