Morrison certainly paid his dues and went through the trials and tribulations of the typical innocent, wet-behind-the-ears musician -- signing ridiculous contracts, playing five sets a night at dive bars -- but finally came through when Warner Bros. signed him.

In Moondance -- his third album -- his "Celtic soul" style morphed into a more sophisticated sound, like this jazzy title track. The form is simple, but extremely catchy:
