I Remember Clifford (1957, Benny Golson)

The tune is extraordinary in so many ways.

The introduction opens on the sub-dominant. Look how he weaves his way downwards to the ii chord (F Minor Seventh), altered dominants, and finally to the tonic. The main  melody crawls up to the vi chord (C Minor Seventh) with a chromatic pattern using diminished-seventh chords, then 

The turnaround (ii-V; the last bar of the 1st ending) is remarkable for being preceded by that weird A7(b9) chord -- a tritone away from the tonic ...

Golson cleverly brings back the intro, again with an altered dominant (B-Flat Seventh, with a raised fifth).
