I love the basic simplicity of this tune and its internal complexity.

Tones ring out and you count in in FOUR.

Then Hammer adds a simple piano lick in 5/8.

Next, Hammer adds a drum part in 5/4, so that the 5/8 becomes 10/8.

Then Goodman enters. The thing just repeats from there, but this is gorgeous music in its complex simplicity.
