d. THE BEATLES
from: The Beatles
George making fun of Eric Clapton's sweet tooth, and frequent dental appointments.
"He was over at my house and I had a box of 'Good News' chocolates on the table and wrote the song from the names inside the lid -- 'creme tangerine,' 'montelimar,' 'ginger sling' -- 'you'll have to have them all pulled out after the Savoy Truffle.'" -- George
Harrison also slipped in a little reference to Paul's Ob-La Di, Ob-Bla-Da.
George also asked engineer Ken Scott to distort the saxes. When the session guys came up to the control room to listen to playback, George said to them:
"Before you listen I've got to apologize for what I've done to your beautiful sound. Please forgive me -- but it's the way I want it."
