Son of the great Karlheinz, he naturally gravitated towards a musical career, first learning piano, then trumpet.

This was his second album (for ECM).

Sandwiched between the first track So Far . . . (Cosi Lontano) and the final track . . . Almost Inside (Quasi Dentro), are titles with elipses before and after the title.

This track seems to translate the title through music -- the players are breaking through -- (. . . through is the next track!).

His father's influence is definitely apparent.
