Ife -- Mtume's daughter ...

A funky bass line that lasts 15 minutes. It's what goes on over it that makes this a cool experiment in free improvisation -- creating a sonic landscape unique to Miles' music from this period.

The last seven minutes change up the vibe, although there's still a repeating bass line at a slower tempo.

"Okay, that's enough ... let's hear some that, Teo."
